🛠️ Install a Backdrop Stand Like a Professional
Step 1: Equipment Check
To install a backdrop stand using a telescopic pole frame you’ll require the following:
- 2x Upright Poles
- 1x Crossbar Pole
- 2x Base Plates
- 2x Spigots (Pictured attached to base plates)
Also required:
- Your Backdrop
- Toolbox for Backdrop Hanging (no tools required to install the frame)
Step 2: Base Plates
Securely screw the spigots in to your preferred holes on the base plates. For equal weight distribution, we recommend securing in the central hole.
Place the base plates in the location for your backdrop, with the handles to the rear. Using a tape measure, measure the width of your backdrop from the outside of one spigot to the outside of the other. Allow a couple of centimetres each side to ensure your backdrop covers the upright poles at each side.
Step 3: Upright Poles
Slot your upright poles on to your base plate spigots, keeping your tape measure in place to ensure the width remains the same.
Step 4: Crossbar
With the upright poles in place and unextended, slot the crossbar in to each one. Starting from the crossbar’s unextended end and gently extending until it reaches the other upright pole.
Step 5: Install Your Backdrop & Adjust Height
Place your backdrop in front of the backdrop stand to double check the width is correct. Extend the upright poles to height once the backdrop has been attached to the crossbar.
To extend or retract the upright poles, push up the flick-lock mechanism to release the section, adjust to your desired height, then let it lock back into place.
Once the stand is at your desired height, secure the backdrop to the upright poles.

Install your backdrop from the non-extendable end first. This way, if you need to adjust the width at any point during installation, you can do so once you reach the extendable part of the pole.
